What is compounding?

Compounding is the process of creating custom-made medications for patients. Compounding pharmacists work with specific patients and prescribers to meet the patient’s needs. Based on the patient’s specific needs, the necessary strengths and dosages of individual ingredients are mixed together to form compounded medications.

Do you fill retail or non-compounded prescriptions?

Yes. We can fill your prescription for you and any family member.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept many insurance plans. Once you let us know your insurance information, we can submit it to your plan and see if you are eligible for benefits. Keep in mind that insurance plan benefits can vary and some insurance companies do not cover compounded medications.

What is the difference between brand-name and generic medicines?

Brand-name medicines are created by one original developer. Generic medicines are produced by manufactures that did not originally develop the medicine. Active ingredients and safety in both brand-name medicines and generic medicines are the same. The main difference between the two medicines is cost. Generic medicines can be produced for less than brand-name medicines since they do not have to pay for the cost of developing the brand-name medicine.

How should I take my medicine(s)?

How your medicine should be taken will be prescribed by your doctor. However, if you need more information, one of our pharmacists will be able to help.

How long does it take to get my medications by mail?

Depending on your location, it typically takes between 3-5 days to receive your medications. You can talk to our customer service representative if faster shipping is necessary.

Can I transfer a prescription to Galleria Medical Pharmacy?

Yes, most prescriptions can be transferred to Galleria Medical Pharmacy. If you let us know the name and telephone number of the pharmacy that last filled your prescription, we can call that pharmacy and transfer any remaining refills.

How do I pay for my prescription?

Galleria Medical Pharmacy accepts cash, check, and most major credit cards.
